https://www.starwars.com/news/the-legendary-star-wars-expanded-universe-turns-a-new-page Disney didn't decanonize the Expanded Universe. It was never canon in the first place. Lucas only acknowledged the 6 Movies and The Clone Wars as the Official Star Wars Canon.
